I decided to head up to Long Ridge Open Space Preserve in the Santa Cruz Mountains to try my hand at capturing some pictures during the golden hour before sunset.
This was my 6th hike of 2014. A short out and back of only 2.7 miles. However, I spent a lot of time taking pictures.
Yes, I saw 8 different deer roaming around the OSP…I need to upgrade my lens to get better shots. The deer weren’t in a mood to either stay still or, come closer to me so that I could get a better shot!
I also need to work on the white balance (I think). All in all, not a bad set of images for my first hike during the golden hour this year.
I will be looking for an outdoor photography book or website to help me take better pictures. Your suggestions are greatly appreciated!
In the meantime, If you are looking for me, I’m over the hill!
