“The cliffhanger is over, Measure AA has been approved by the voters!

Today, the Yes for Open Space Campaign announced that Measure AA has won with over 67% of the vote! Thank you for your incredible support for Measure AA for Open Space Access, Preservation and Restoration.
Measure AA is your legacy. With your voice, your vote and your volunteer hours, you have preserved open space, saved the remaining redwood forests, protected rare native species, restored watersheds and increased access to some of the most magnificent open space lands in the world. Thanks to you, the Peninsula and Silicon Valley will remain one of the best places in the world to live, work, play and stay healthy.”

So happy that we the people of Santa Clara and San Mateo Counties have voted to pay for a great expansion in our Open Space District lands! From the former Almaden Air Force Base high atop Mt. Umunhum to Bayfront land near Palo Alto…more usable open space access and protection of our natural resources for many generations to come!

I’m just wondering how I can use my Project Management/Construction Management experience to help in the expansion of these trails that I love to hike!

So, What Mid Peninsula Open Space Preserve are you going to visit this weekend?

If you’re looking for me, I’m over the hill!
