The Daily Photo Challenge – Jubilant
One of the benefits of owning this blog, is that I get to choose what I write about. Now, sure, this is a blog about my outdoor adventures. However, every once in a while, I get to write about something else. Today, I choose to post a picture of a very jubilant event in our family. Our daughter Kelley just graduated from California State University, Fresno with a BA in English! We are so proud of her accomplishment!
It’s quite something when you can remember holding your child, rocking her to sleep, or reading her “Goodnight Moon.” And then, in what seems like a flash, you are standing outside the Save Mart Center with this same girl – now, a young woman – after she has earned a university degree!
Jubilant!
I guess congratulations are in order. Stunning entry for this week’s photo challenge. Makes me want to explore your blog a bit more.
I shall be following your blog from now on; hope you don’t mind! 🙂
p.s. I have a daughter too who’s growing up way too fast. 😦

Congrats to your daughter! My son is 18 and about to embark on a Bacheors in Physical Therapy. As far as I am concerned he was just a baby … but I can’t wait to be as jubilant as you when he graduates in 4 years’ time. Thanks for sharing this special moment 🙂

Congrats to your daughter! Well done!
And your post resonated with me… I still remember my son being a little guy, going places together and yes, reading to him at night… and in a flash, he will be a HS Senior in August, class of 2017!
Too fast!!
