Photo 101: Moment and Motion

Photo 101 – Moment and Motion

Volleyball is hard to shoot.  The light in gyms is usually bad and the action is fast at the Premier Club level.

I set up on the floor at the corner and was lucky to catch this moment.  The white team has set to their Middle for the attack.  The gray team is setting up their defense as the Middle rises up to block the shot.

As always, if you’re looking for me, I’m over the hill.

High Speed Ballet

The orchestra settles into their chairs…the sound of the conductor tap, tap, tapping to get the attention of percussion, brass, and woodwinds.

The lights dim, the curtains open, the audience sits up in anticipation of the opening act…and then, the sounds of high school age young ladies…

“Down ball…block mid…my ball…3… 3…” Our daughters club volleyball practice sometimes looks like a high speed, well- choreographed, ballet to me.

Yes, it’s my Blogging 101 assignment for today!

The Thursday Picture – Spring Exit

Today’s picture is of our youngest daughter Casie – on the left – and one of her teammates leaving the last volleyball tournament of the Spring season.

I’m going to miss watching her play volleyball. However, it will leave me some more time to hike on the weekend. Ying-Yang!

Where are you hiking this weekend?

If you’re looking for me, I’m over the hill.
